PROFESSIONAL PILLAR / 03
Strong competencies require strong standards. We develop a framework connecting knowledge, skills, ethics, work evidence, and scope of authority.
DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK
Job functions, competency units, performance criteria, evidence of competence, and scope of authority.
Integrity, independence, impartiality, confidentiality, and the management of conflicts of interest.
Competency packages based on occupational profiles, specializations, scope, and levels.
Assessment through actual evidence, skills demonstrations, and relevant work products.
Maintain competencies in line with developments in science, technology, law, and practice.
Validation, reliability, peer review, correction, and professional learning.
COMPETENCY ARCHITECTURE
The forensic linguistics development framework covers scientific, legal, and ethical foundations; linguistic evidence management; forensic linguistic analysis; analysis of language-related cases; digital forensic linguistics; language in legal proceedings; and quality assurance.
